Legal advice clinics open for business

Our housing law and immigration law advice clinics have reopened as telephone services, joining our employment law advice clinic which reopened last week. Housing law advice clinics are already taking place and will be held every Tuesday. Immigration law advice clinics will be held fortnightly on Wednesdays, starting on 29 April. Call us on 020 7538 4909 to see if we can help and make an appointment.

Employment law advice is back

From 20 April 2020, our employment law advice clinic is starting up again, this time as a telephone service. Call us on 020 7538 4909 to see if we can help and make an appointment. We’re also pleased to offer this guide to frequently asked questions about employment rights during the coronavirus pandemic, developed by our colleagues at Southwark Law Centre with barrister Ben Mitchell from 11 King’s Bench Walk.

Coronavirus updates

A lot has changed over the past week, so we’ve updated our website to include information about important announcements on welfare benefits, immigration and housing law, including:

  • the suspension of all housing possession actions for at least 90 days from today
  • the extension of leave to remain in the UK to 31 May 2020 for individuals who can’t leave because of coronavirus
  • the three-month suspension of reviews and reassessments in welfare benefits cases

Coronavirus

The health and wellbeing of our staff, clients and visitors is our top priority and we are working hard to prepare for the possible spread of the coronavirus, provide up to date information and advice and offer support as the situation develops.

We have added a new page to our website to explain the steps we’re taking to deal with coronavirus, which we’ll keep updated as the situation develops.
