House Keys

We’re looking for a housing solicitor/caseworker to help work on our Legal Aid Agency contract covering legal help, certificated cases and representation at court as part of the duty solicitor scheme. You’ll need to have at least one year’s experience of advising and assisting in housing law (if you are a solicitor, not all of this experience needs to be post qualification), together with a talent for explaining complex legal ideas in simple language and the ability to manage a demanding workload.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 16 April 2023

A great employment law opportunity!

We’re looking for someone special to lead and develop our new employment law service. We’re delighted to have the chance to extend our services to our East End community in this way, particularly since we know that more and more people will need legal advice about employment rights as the Covid 19 crisis continues.

For the moment, we are offering the post as a fixed-term contract for one year (although we’re open to discussion about the length). During that time, we want the appointee to identify and grow sources of funding for the future (including a legal aid Discrimination Law contract) that will sustain both the post and the service far into the future. You’ll notice that the Job Description expresses the role as leading and supervising a team, which reflects our ambition for both you and the service – but on appointment, you’ll be our sole employment lawyer.

For the moment, Covid-19 means that our team is working remotely from the law centre for most of the time. Interviews for this post are likely to be held using Zoom and you should be prepared to work remotely if appointed.

Visit our jobs page to download an application pack.

Completed applications should be returned to recruitment@thlc.co.uk by the closing date, Sunday 01 November 2020
