Trainee Solicitor (Justice First Fellow)
We are delighted to be partnering with The Legal Education Foundation’s Justice First Fellowship, offering a training contract to an aspiring solicitor to work with us. We have worked with The Legal Education Foundation for three years and look forward to once again welcoming a talented aspiring lawyer who will gain invaluable hands-on experience alongside our team.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a strong interest in our work, as well as the following qualities:
- An evidenced interest in social justice, social welfare, human rights, and civil liberties
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to be diplomatic, compassionate, and empathetic. Willingness to take opportunities to build the skills and networks for a long career in social welfare law.
- The desire to build a career using law as a tool for social justice.

The Justice First Fellowship has funded 120 training contracts since 2014, developing a network of exceptional social justice lawyers. As a testament to the quality of Fellows and host organisations, 98% of graduated fellows are currently in paid employment with 91% working as lawyers using law for the public benefit to achieve a social good.
